We had a long and challenging drive through deep sand to our next spot, truly remote and without any road or other signs guiding us there, just a succession of tracks heading out into the bush. But at least, unlike others we heard about, we did not break down!
However, the "tented" cabins were pretty special as was the food, game drives and especially the small swimming pool a few yards away from the waterhole where a procession of game would come all hours of the day and night. That and a free laundry service! A mechanic as well, "Llama", our vehicle was starting to show it's age, with a bolt about shearing off from one of the tent supports, the A/C fading and various groans and creaks from the springs.

The game drives were sensational ; the rare " painted dogs "were an unexpected treat and we had a good 15 minutes a few yards away from them.
